FAIRPAD
Technical data
FAIRPAD is an uncured, non-silicone rubber used to make pressure-relief plates, flexible mandrels and rubber tooling. In thehot press tank curing process, FAIRPAD Pressure Reinforcement Pad provides uniform pressure distribution, withstands high temperatures similar to silicone rubberbut does not lead to silicone contamination, the prepreg bonds well when used with tooling prepregs, anddoes not produce volatiles that can lead to delamination.

The size can be customised according to customer's requirements, and the non-full case packing is determined according to the customer's actual order.
Packaging and storage
During the entire curing process a full vacuum is used, the hot press tank is pressurised to 7 bar, a minimum of 3 bar is recommended, and the temperature is maintained for≥ 2h.
The curing process is then cooled to room temperature, the vacuum is removed and the mould is released from the master mould.
For curing with prepregs, heat to 145°C±5°C, hold for 1 hour, then finish curing according to curing parameters.
